This is truly an amazing place………makes me wonder why more of us do not think of places of true care. Hats off to the staff. Wishing all the staff the best.

RANDY POND, CISCO SYSTEMS

What a wonderful gift you are providing the community. The facility is lovely and the staff seems very caring and compassionate.

Ms HEATHER, Organiser, Worldwide Global Leadership Team, Texas Instruments

I can't thank you enough for all that you have done! The program with the TIers was a wonderful success and I really appreciate all that you and the Karunashraya staff have done.

I also wanted to pass on some of the comments from the end of the day when I asked what they had gotten back in the act of giving help; what their reflections were from the afternoon:

  • A reminder to be humble – gain perspective on what we are doing – we think we are so important but look at the work these people in the hospice are doing.
  • Simplify – look how basic things are at the essence, we are all humans and want to connect, respect one another and communicate.
  • Inspired by the optimism of the hospice leadership –that they could see optimism in something that most would immediately think was depressing.
  • The importance of re-connecting with how what they are doing at wireless also helps others in the world – and also to do this as a way to develop and retain leaders by inspiration and common goal.
  • The chance to work on a project and talk informally about things outside of work really did build a deeper relationship.
  • The team building aspect was clear up front but there was a deeper meaning in the activities together, giving back, connecting with others.
  • Having faith is sustaining (connected to dance performance from pervious night).
  • In giving you actually receive more back.
  • That once you communicate with passion about something you can motivate others, to do the task with them, coach them and then they can do it on their own (teaching games to people who didn’t speak English yet who were continuing to play the games outside the room where we were meeting).
  • Notice the way you relate to different situations, it says a lot about how you are in other areas.
  • Positive energy is contagious.
  • Reignited my passion - for work and for me personally, I needed this and feel I am starting in a new cycle now.
  • It made me feel part of the company for the first time (Indian team member who has only interfaced via email).

I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in setting this up! It was much appreciated and I hope we can visit again in the near future. Please pass on my warmest thanks and regards to Ms. Gulbano Tan and Mr. Kishore Rao as their participation was invaluable and had a great impact on the group.

Warmest regards,
Heather
